Solution Architect - Data & Analytics (m/f/d)

What work will you do?

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our family of fearlessly curious truth-seekers.

You enjoy working with our aviation industry clients in understanding their needs and delivering together with a team of data experts a tailored solution, that ensures they are generating the most business value from their data.

You also feel comfortable in supporting our pre-sales activities, by organizing client workshops, support with your technical expertise as well as doing effort estimations. Furthermore, you like to take over central lead roles in projects such as Architecture Lead, Technical Lead or Product Owner.

In this role, you will:

Be a trusted partner to our clients, by actively listening to their business problems and consult them on the right data driven solutions
Act as an integrated member of a mixed team of data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts, from ideation to implementation of analytical solutions (and actively contribute and develop these solutions if needed)
Take a leading role in our pre-sales activities
Design/implement processes and tools to support data governance and data management
Be a coach and mentor for all colleagues regarding Solution Architecture

What skills should you have?

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related subject or equivalent business experience
Minimum of 7+ years professional experience in data, analytics or a related subject area
A proven track record in solution architecture for data-centric or machine learning based systems
A high capacity for abstraction and excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Hands on experience in public cloud environments like Azure, Google Cloud or AWS
Excellent technical understanding on how to cater to non-functional requirements including query performance, data quality, machine learning model performance and security
The ability to explain complex analytical solutions to a non-technical audience on management level during sales, pre-sales and customer engagements

The following skills and experience would also be an asset:

Gen-AI / LLMs: e.g. Open-AI, Gemini
Data Platform tools: e.g. Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Synapse
BI tools: e.g. Tableau, Power BI
CI/CD and DevOps tools: e.g. Terraform, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps
Networking and Security: Proficiency in networking principles and securing data-centric systems, especially in cloud environments
Programming Languages: e.g. Python, Java, Scala, SQL
